Bernard Tan is the Director for Strategy, Planning and Engagements for National Supercomputing Centre Singapore (NSCC), under A*Star. He has been instrumental in planning and executing national advanced research programs that utilize Supercomputing capabilities. With over 20 years of global technology experience with multinational companies like IBM, Red Hat, and as a technopreneur, Bernard is always at the forefront of bringing emerging technologies to the commercial and public sectors with his global markets knowledge hands-on approach.

Alvin Chan is a Computer Science Ph.D. candidate at Singapore’s Nanyang Technological University, supported by the prestigious Nanyang President’s Graduate Scholarship (NPGS). His research interests centre around making AI technologies safe and beneficial for humanity, encompassing topics like adversarial learning and deep learning for medical applications. Throughout his Ph.D., he has contributed several publications in premier deep learning venues such as ICLR, CVPR and AC.
